About

One office, 26 drivers, no subcontracting.

Marcus Feldman drove in London for eight years before starting Belgrave Executive Cars in 2006 with two cars and a mobile phone. The rule then is the rule now: if we cannot cover a job with our own driver, we say so rather than pass it on.

How we work

Employed, not gig.

Every driver is on our payroll, holds a TfL private hire licence and works a rota we publish a fortnight ahead. That is why the same three or four faces turn up for an account client rather than whoever happened to accept the job.

Cars are valeted between every journey and go back to the workshop at 20,000 miles rather than when something goes wrong. Nothing in the fleet is older than three years, and every vehicle carries a spare charging cable, umbrellas and a first aid kit.

Driver vetting

Four checks before anyone carries a client.

A private hire licence is the floor, not the standard. This is what we add on top, and we re-run it rather than filing it once.

One

Enhanced DBS, renewed yearly

Every driver holds a current enhanced disclosure. We re-run it annually rather than waiting for licence renewal.

Two

Five years of history checked

References taken and verified for the previous five years of employment, with any gap explained in writing.

Three

Advanced driving assessment

A four hour on-road assessment before a driver carries a client, then a reassessment every two years.

Four

Confidentiality agreement

Signed by every driver and everyone in the duty office. What is said in the car stays in the car.

The office

Who answers the phone.

Three of the people you will deal with. The duty office is staffed through the night, so the number on this page is the number at four in the morning as well.

Licensing and insurance

The paperwork, in one place.

We are happy to send certificates before an account opens. Procurement teams usually ask for all four of these, so we keep them current and dated.

  • TfL private hire operator 09018234
  • Enhanced DBS on every driver
  • ICO registration ZA748210
  • GBP 5m public liability
  • Employers liability and hire and reward cover on every vehicle
  • Annual DVSA inspection on the seven seat fleet
