The coast, not the county

Everything is within an hour of the sea.

Our furthest property is a nine minute walk from salt water. The arrival pack tells you which beach has lifeguards in May, which car park fills by ten, and where to eat on a wet Tuesday in February.

Eight of us, four sea views and a kitchen we actually wanted to cook in. The arrival pack answered every question before we asked it.

Off grid but not roughing it. Stove lit in four minutes, outdoor shower hot, and the stars on the second night were worth the trip on their own.

Booked on the Thursday, arrived on the Friday with a wet dog. Towels by the door for him, wood already stacked. Fourth year running.

The roof terrace is the reason to book it. We ate up there every night and never once got the car out.
