Core Twelve
£3412 cans, £2.83 each
Two of each core beer. The easiest way to find your favourite before you commit to a bigger case.
We brew 30 barrels a week half a mile from the iron bridge, can it ourselves on a Thursday, and put it on a van on a Friday. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you.
The core range
440 ml cans, £3.20 to £4.10 each.
Every can is date stamped on the base.
Grapefruit and pine over a soft malt base, finishing dry. The one we sell most of, by a distance.
£3.20a can
Toast and orange marmalade, a gentle bitterness and a short finish. Brewed to the recipe we opened with.
£3.20a can
Mango and gooseberry up front, a firm bitter edge behind it. Double dry hopped in tank for four days.
£4.10a can
Cocoa nib and cold brew coffee from a roaster two miles up the road. Thick head, long dry finish.
£4.10a can
Lagered for eight weeks because there is no shortcut. Bread crust, lemon zest, clean enough to drink two.
£3.60a can
Peppery rye and red berry, darker than it looks in the glass. Our autumn beer that stayed on all year.
£3.80a can
How it is made
One brewhouse, one yeast strain, one canning line in the corner. Small enough that the person who wrote the recipe is the person who packs it.
Shropshire-grown Maris Otter, milled on site the morning we brew. Sixty six degrees for an hour, and no adjuncts we cannot spell.
Ninety minutes in a direct-fired copper. Bittering hops at the start, aroma hops in the whirlpool once it drops to eighty degrees.
Our own house yeast, pitched warm and crashed cold. Five days for the lighter beers, fourteen for the stout, however long it takes.
Canned on a small in-line seamer at under two parts per million of oxygen, then date stamped on the base. Nothing leaves here pasteurised.

Or pick your own
Choose the mix, choose the size, and it turns up every four weeks until you tell it to stop. Most people start with twelve and move to twenty four by the spring.

The taproom
The Tap, Coalport Road, Telford TF8 7HT
Twelve minutes on foot from Coalport station car park.
Severn Gorge IPA served straight from the tank, four days after dry hopping. When the tank is empty, that is that.
Ruth walks through six beers and answers anything, including the batches that went wrong. Six thirds included.
Teams of up to six, 19:30 start, no phones on the table. Winners take a mixed twelve home.
Beer brewed with Herefordshire hops picked that morning. Pizza, a brass band, and the yard open until late.
What people say
★★★★★The mixed twenty four turned up next day and every can was dated inside a fortnight. That beats what the big online shops manage.
Alan H., Shrewsbury
★★★★★Booked the tour for my dad. Ruth spent twenty minutes answering his questions about water chemistry and never once looked bored.
Cerys D., Ironbridge
★★★★★On the subscription since March. It arrives, I drink it, I forget about it until the next one turns up. Exactly what I wanted.
Tom B., Wolverhampton
