Studio
Eight people, one room, second floor.
Lowther Vane was founded in 2011 by Eleanor Lowther and joined by Tom Vane in 2014. We are an RIBA Chartered Practice working from a former corn exchange office on Corn Street.
What we believe.
Good buildings are mostly proportion, light and the honest use of a few materials. We would rather do less, well: one clear move, detailed properly, than a plan full of ideas. We reuse before we rebuild, and we design for the way a place will be lived in, not photographed.
