Every room is different because the house is old and we let it be. Three are on the lake side, two have their own doors for dogs, one is under the roof.

Herdwick lamb from the fell you walked on, trout from Ullswater, damsons from the Lyth valley. Twenty-four covers, candles, and a kitchen you can hear.

No car needed. Boots, yes.
Three routes leave from the back gate. Printed notes at reception, a flask filled on request, and a drying room that actually dries.
