Two generations, one yard, 38 winters.
Ken Ashworth started slating terraces in Walkley in 1988. His daughter Claire runs the yard now, with eight roofers, two scaffolders and a drone that saves everyone a ladder.
How we work
Employed roofers, not whoever answered the phone.
Everyone on your roof is on our payroll, CSCS carded and insured through us. That is why the same faces come back on day four, and why we can put a 20-year guarantee behind the work rather than a phone number that stops answering.
The guarantee
Twenty years, in your name.
Every re-roof and flat roof is registered on the day we strike the scaffold. It covers our workmanship, it transfers once if you sell the house, and it sits on top of whatever the manufacturer gives you on the materials. Repairs carry two years on the same terms.

Send a photo
WhatsApp a picture of the roof from the pavement, or of the stain on the ceiling. Most of the time that is enough for us to price a repair the same day.
We get above it
For anything bigger than a repair we fly the drone or put a ladder up, and you get the photographs whether you use us or not.
One written price
Scaffold, waste, materials and VAT in a single figure. No day rates, and no telling you we found something else once we were up there.
Booked, done, signed off
A start date in writing, the crew on site by 7:30, and a 20-year guarantee registered in your name the day we strike the scaffold.
