A custom e-commerce platform built for a bike shop: Bağlıca Bisiklet.
We merged a bike shop's three separate worlds (the online store, the till at the counter and a standalone stock program) into one platform; and the platform now audits its own data quality.
Off-the-shelf e-commerce templates could not carry a bike shop's real day; the software had to follow the shop's own order, not the other way round.
Overview
Bağlıca Bisiklet is a well-established Ankara shop selling bikes, accessories and spare parts. Its digital life was split in three: an online store living on a template platform, a separate stock-and-trade program running at the shop, and information carried between the two by hand.
In a two-month build we brought it all into one place: a e-commerce platform written from scratch, shaped around how the shop actually works.
The Challenge
On the surface the problem was an ageing website; the real burden was the daily operation stuck between systems that knew nothing of each other.
The online store sat on ready-made templates; categories, variants and workflows could not bend to the shop.
Stock and trade records lived in a separate program; website stock and real shelf stock disagreed.
In-store sales and customer balances were scattered across a paper ledger and separate screens.
Hundreds of product descriptions, images and variants were checked by hand; gaps surfaced only when a customer noticed.
The shop's order became the software's order.
We wrote a e-commerce platform from scratch: close to 550 products, hundreds of variations and 15 brands migrated; the till, the stock ledger and the online storefront now share one panel.
Three systems, one platform, a shop's own order.
The bottom line.
Behind the new baglicabisiklet.com there is now a single admin panel. A stock matching screen ties barcoded items from the trade records to store products through a suggest-and-approve flow; anything unmatched waits in front of the manager. Product Check scans the catalogue rule by rule and lists missing descriptions, imageless products and broken variants by severity; the site audits its own data quality.
The shop's daily life moved in too: a quick sale screen handles in-store sales in seconds, credit tracking keeps customer balances in the panel instead of a paper ledger, and stock movements and reports open with one click. On out-of-stock products customers ask to be notified; when stock arrives, the message goes out automatically.
