How to read these

Every one of these started with a phone call about something that felt worse than it was.

Timescales are the real ones from our file, not best cases. Fees are what the client paid, excluding VAT and the searches, court fees and Land Registry fees we pay on their behalf. Your matter will not be identical, which is why we quote yours before we start it rather than pointing at somebody else's.

In their words

What clients said afterwards.

The Thursday update meant I never had to chase anyone. Our chain had five parties in it and Marsh & Bell were the only firm anybody could get hold of.

A. Rowntree · Sale and purchase, Eaton

Idris told me at the first meeting what the likely outcome was and what it would cost. Both turned out to be right, which I did not expect.

M. Fenn · Divorce and consent order

A fixed fee rather than a slice of my mother's estate. Hannah explained every letter from HMRC before I had to ask.

J. Alderton · Probate, Wymondham

Yours will have its own complication.

Tell us what it is. We will tell you whether it changes the price before you instruct us, not after.
