Cheltenham and Gloucestershire · family owned since 1998

A home where the fees, the staff and the front door are all open.

Residential, dementia and nursing care on Prestbury Road, and a home care team across Cheltenham. You can look round any day between nine and eight, our weekly fees are published on this site, and you will speak to Ruth rather than a call centre.

Where to start

Two ways in, and neither one commits you to anything.

Most families ring us in the middle of something difficult: a fall, a discharge date, a diagnosis. You do not need a decision today. You need to see the place and hear a straight answer about money.

  • Visit unannounced, stay for lunch, talk to whoever you like
  • A free assessment at home or on the ward, with a written care plan
  • Fees in writing before anything is signed, reviewed once a year
  • A four week trial on both sides, endable without notice

Our care

Six kinds of care, under one registration.

Because we are registered for nursing as well as residential and dementia care, most people who move in never have to move again when their needs change.

A day at Willow Grove

Nobody is woken, and nothing runs to a whistle.

Choose an hour and see what is actually happening in the house. This is a normal Wednesday, not an open day.

Getting up, at your own pace

Nobody is woken. Carers look in from seven, and if you would rather stay in bed until ten, breakfast comes to you. Beryl in room 12 has been up at half six for sixty years and is not about to change.

Fees

The number first, then everything behind it.

Care is expensive and vague pricing makes it worse. Pick the kind of care and you will see the weekly fee and what it covers, before you speak to anybody.

Fees from£1,180per week, all rooms en suite

For people who no longer manage alone at home but do not need nursing. Help with washing, dressing and medication, three cooked meals a day, and company whenever it is wanted.

  • Personal care day and night
  • All meals, snacks and drinks
  • Laundry and room cleaning
  • Activities and outings
  • GP visits arranged

Every fee is confirmed in writing after a free assessment. We review fees once a year in April and give twenty eight days notice of any change.

Families

Mum moved in after a fall and I dreaded it. Six months on she is in the choir and I visit as a daughter again instead of as a carer. They ring me before I have to ring them.

Catherine H., daughter of a resident, Charlton Kings

Dad has vascular dementia and had been asked to leave another home. Bramble Wing settled him in a fortnight. Nobody here has once told us he is difficult.

Peter and Ann W., son and daughter in law, Prestbury

Two carers, both named, morning and evening for eleven months. If one is off, they tell me the day before who is coming instead. That is the whole difference.

Marcus D., home care client, Bishops Cleeve

The fee they quoted in February is the fee we pay now, and the annual review letter set out the reasoning. No surprises is worth a great deal at this stage.

Susan L., daughter of a resident, Cheltenham

Come and see it on a normal day.

No appointment, no tour script. Ring the bell between nine and eight and somebody will show you round.
