The home
Rooms and spaces, photographed as they are.
Nothing here is staged for the camera. If a room looks lived in, that is because somebody lives in it. Come and see the ones that are free rather than the ones in the pictures.
Willow Grove House
A Victorian rectory with a modern wing behind it.
The old house holds the lounges, the dining room and eighteen rooms. Bramble Wing, built in 2014, holds dementia care and the nursing rooms, all on one level with direct access to the secure garden.
Rooms and spaces
Nine of the places you would see on a visit.
A day at Willow Grove
What happens between breakfast and the film club.
Getting up, at your own pace
Nobody is woken. Carers look in from seven, and if you would rather stay in bed until ten, breakfast comes to you. Beryl in room 12 has been up at half six for sixty years and is not about to change.
Photographs only go so far.
Visiting is open every day from nine to eight. You do not need to ring first, though it helps the kitchen if you plan to stay for lunch.
