Main contractor, design and build
Portal frame on a live site with a 6 m crane oversail restriction. Erected in four phases around the existing yard.

Newcastle and the North East · EN 1090-2 EXC3
Structural frames, architectural metalwork and site welding from a shop that runs 40 tonnes a week. Send us a set of drawings and you get a tonnage take-off and a rate inside three working days.
What we fabricate
Rates below are typical starting points for the North East. Every enquiry gets its own take-off with paint, galvanising and erection priced on separate lines.
Portal frames, beams and columns, bracing and connections, fabricated to EXC3 and delivered to site in erection sequence.
Feature staircases, balustrades, canopies and screens where the weld is on show and has to be ground back to nothing.

Coded welders with their own transport, generators and edge protection, for the jobs that cannot come back to the shop.
Warehouse and retail mezzanines with stairs, handrail, edge protection and deck, designed to the loading you give us.

Access platforms, walkways, ladders, plant frames and roof steels. Small tonnage, quick turnaround.
Our own erection gangs and appointed lifting plant, so the frame that leaves the shop is the frame we stand up.

How a job runs
GA drawings, a sketch or a photograph. DWG, DXF, PDF, IFC or a phone picture of a bracket. We will tell you within a day if we have enough to price.
A tonnage take-off, a rate per tonne and a separate line for paint, galvanising and erection. Nothing hidden inside a lump sum.
Our detailer models the frame and issues mark drawings. Nothing is cut until you or your engineer sign them off.
Bar-coded through the shop. Welds inspected against the WPS, dimensional check recorded, then blast and paint or galvanising.
Loaded in the order your gang needs it, or stood up by ours. Handover pack with the EN 1090 declaration on the day we finish.
Safety and approvals
Our welders are coded to ISO 9606-1 and our factory production control is certified for EN 1090-2 EXC3, so the declaration of performance is issued with the steel rather than chased afterwards.
What clients say
They price properly, they tell you early when a drawing does not work, and the steel turns up in the order we asked for. That is most of my job done.
Project manager, Regional main contractor, Sunderland
Their detailer picks up connection queries before we do. The approval drawings come back clean, which saves us a fortnight on a typical frame.
